Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct device characterization experiments aimed at improving the performance and scalability of quantum hardware
  • Improve qubit performance through materials research, improving coherence and 2q-gate performance by reducing TLS losses
  • Develop and optimize measurement protocols for non-reciprocal superconducting circuits, including isolators and parametric amplifiers
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data to identify key trends guiding further development of superconducting quantum technologies
  • Contribute to the development of high-fidelity qubit readout modules, integrating parametric amplifiers, isolators and other on-chip circuit elements
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate experimental results into the quantum device design cycle

Job Requirements

  • MSc in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Research experience in quantum systems or cryogenic measurements (2+ years in Industry or Academia)
  • Experience in Python programming for experiment automation
  • Experience in operating superconducting circuits or similar quantum systems
  • Familiarity with microwave engineering / noise reduction / thermalization techniques for quantum devices are a strong plus
  • Proficient in Chinese and Englishis a strong plus
